Business Assurance Manager
Our client is looking to recruit a Business Assurance Manager to monitor the internal control environment for Commercial, Wealth Management Services and Credit to establish that it is robust and meets local regulatory standards. This covers both execution and service locations for all activities relationship managed from the UK, the CI and Gibraltar.
Perform first line of defence control activity including, suitability reviews, credit reviews and complaint handling.
Sample client take-on documentation to assess adherence to regulatory requirements, quality of client and risk profiling.
Provide feedback to Front Office staff and ensure the closure of identified issues.
Work in collaboration with the group wide Business Assurance team, escalating issues to the Head of Business Assurance.
Assist in the compilation of reports, including the Conduct Report and Balanced Scorecards.
Co-ordinate, and where necessary, deliver on-going training to Front Office staff on Conduct Risk and Business Assurance issues.
Work with Private Banking Team Leaders to coach and develop staff on key controls and regulatory process.
Maintain version control of business assurance policy and procedures and execute action plans to remediate exceptions to these policy and procedures whether internally created or if created by Internal Audit, Compliance or Operational Risk.
Proactively suggest improvements to processes and procedures which will reduce risk, increase productivity amid ongoing desire for the business to simplify and ensure first time right culture.
Represent Business Assurance at relevant governance meetings as required.
