Our client a small independent Trust company is looking for a Compliance Officer who will be responsible for ensuring appropriate monitoring of operational performances and manage regulatory and compliance risk within the business. The Compliance Officer will provide the Board with regular written reports in respect of compliance with the requirements of the Financial Services (Jersey) Law, and requisite Orders, the TCB Code of Practice and the AML/CFT Handbook.
You will have overall responsibility for all Compliance and Money Laundering Compliance matters for the company. Official appointment with JFSC as Compliance Officer (“CO”) and Money Laundering Compliance Officer (“MLCO”) and act as principal point of contact on regulatory matters.
5 years experience in a similar role
A recognised compliance qualification
Highly motivated, confidential and able to operate with discretion
High degree of IT awareness and proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills at all levels
Ability to deal with large volumes of documentation
Methodical, attention to detail and accurate
